I've said it before, and I'll no doubt say it again: these are the gassiest children I've ever met.

James just informed me that the cauliflower that I made for dinner was "ridiculously awesome."

Jimmy made the kids cheese-and-bacon omelets and refrigerator biscuits for breakfast, and gave them chocolate milk. It always warms the heart to hear the two older, more jaded children shrieking with laughter as they watch "stalking kitty" videos on YouTube, even if it does provide a somewhat distracting counter-note to the climatic battle scene at the end of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.

Jimmy and I had this excellent plan to take the kids to the carnival. I found out about a week ago that a carnival was coming to town this weekend, so we didn't pick them up last weekend, which would have been our weekend, so that we could have them now and take them to this fun-yet-affordable thing. It started raining last night. For most of the night, it was mere drizzle. In fact, tt was warmer than it had been and I spent most of the night in shirtsleeves.
